The sound of the bass is not that impressive, but hey it is made of of cardboard so that's good enough. I suppose you get what you pay for haha. The box bass isn't supposed to be a replacement for quality wood and fine luthier craftsmanship, but rather it's a crazy fun bass to see, hear, and play. And it attract attention. Every gig i do become a bass-clinic after wards because musicians always want to try it out. The strings are nylon and normally is tuned to E and A, but i prefer to tune it to A and D because the tension feels better. I just have to trasnpose a little bit to get to E,F, Gb and G and Ab... but thats no big deal. If you have any questions just go to my myspace page. THANK YOU for posting the box bass on your blog.
