Greetings fellow bassists,
My name is Dan Foster and I have a website that many bassists may find interesting and informative. www.studioxmusic.com is a record label site created to get licensing for music as well as sell cd's & downloads. I do have one page dedicated to reviews of bass guitar amplifiers from some of the top bass amp manufacturers. I hope you all can take the time to check it out and let me know what you think of the site and feel free to let me know how I can improve it. Thanx!! I really appreciate it.

My humble, fragile new blog is obsessed with the low notes and deeper octaves; bass players, dulcet musings, and all things focused on the rhythm of the heartbeat of the collective unconscious. My electric bass guitar, Squeezette, is concerned that I am rather over-concerned with bassishness in all its wonderful forms and suggests I get out more and explore other bass blogs, but my acoustic bass, Rose, is a more sturdy-minded creature and has suggested I write more on the de-electrified spectrum of this most soft and mindful instrument.

In the sharing spirit.... Here I am on the tele... Hiding behind my massive acoustic bass!

http://sonicfrog.net/?p=5586

The bass is a regular ol' Dean Plamate acoustic. I normally only use it for acoustic practice, but I decided to give it a whirl for the live broadcast. I'm running it through a GK 400 RB III 2 X 12 cabinet. It makes for some pretty interesting tones.

PS. I did bring the ol' reliable Peavey DynaBass just in case!

Ben

I just wrote a post on Music Theory vs Ear at my blog. I'm just learning music theory... Well, re-learning it as I once studied it as a kid, but threw it away as my ear took over.

If you chose to use it, <a href="http://sonicfrog.net/?p=5133" rel="nofollow">here is the link</a>.

Best regards
