Everyone is talking about extended range basses these days, but I spotted this custom made 2 string bass on eBay – because sometimes more strings is just confusing ;).

the listing states:

• This is a custom-made two-string 24 fret bass guitar .
• ***Never been played before, everything in complete working order***
• Size of the entire guitar from top of the headstock to bottom of the body is 43 inches, rough cuts for body (katalox), fretboard slotted (bocote) and neck staves selected (jatoba and leopardwood)

Sadly you’ll need to come and collect it from Kent in the UK, but for something so unique it seems worth the journey… Of course, we shouldn’t forget the Bogdon Box Bass and the Longbow 2 string bass – these two string bass players have a range of instrument choices these days!
