I’ve written a couple of blogs on Pino Palladino – http://runningbomb.blogspot.com/search/label/Pino%20Palladino Feel free to have a look around; my blog has no theme other than whatever I’m thinking about at the time. Would be happy to blog on here occasionally if you wanted me to!
Hi Leroy! That’d be great – email coming your way 🙂 – Pino is an amazing talent. Definitely one of my inspirations for moving from fretted to fretless bass.
WOW! Hope the tour went well!!! 🙂
I’ll let you know if something bass’y comes out of my head and spills onto my blog!
PS. Now that I’m getting the guitar thing down a bit, and I have some mandolin under my belt (not a good place to put it… trust me) I think I will have to finally commit to getting and learning to play fretless this year.

I just wrote a post on Music Theory vs Ear at my blog. I’m just learning music theory… Well, re-learning it as I once studied it as a kid, but threw it away as my ear took over.
If you chose to use it, here is the link.
Best regards
Mike aka Sonicfrog.
Hi, I play a 5 string acoustic bass guitar (AEB), I made a record trying to play just music, perhaps this is something interesting here…
Also in my web you can find and download some drills…
Great blog loads of interesting stuff.
Fugue in C minor (BWV 847) J.S. Bach on bass guitar!!
In the sharing spirit…. Here I am on the tele… Hiding behind my massive acoustic bass!

The bass is a regular ol’ Dean Plamate acoustic. I normally only use it for acoustic practice, but I decided to give it a whirl for the live broadcast. I’m running it through a GK 400 RB III 2 X 12 cabinet. It makes for some pretty interesting tones.
PS. I did bring the ol’ reliable Peavey DynaBass just in case!
My humble, fragile new blog is obsessed with the low notes and deeper octaves; bass players, dulcet musings, and all things focused on the rhythm of the heartbeat of the collective unconscious. My electric bass guitar, Squeezette, is concerned that I am rather over-concerned with bassishness in all its wonderful forms and suggests I get out more and explore other bass blogs, but my acoustic bass, Rose, is a more sturdy-minded creature and has suggested I write more on the de-electrified spectrum of this most soft and mindful instrument.
I’ve been working on starting up a blog, and if you are still looking for guest bloggers with experience, I would be happy to help!
Some news for bass players… Los Angeles Music Academy College of Music is giving away $100,000 in bass grants for the Fall 2011 semester, deadline is August 15th. check out more here: http://bit.ly/npKR3q
Wow really nice video. It was definitely worth for me giving it a shot.

Greetings fellow bassists,
My name is Dan Foster and I have a website that many bassists may find interesting and informative. http://www.studioxmusic.com is a record label site created to get licensing for music as well as sell cd’s & downloads. I do have one page dedicated to reviews of bass guitar amplifiers from some of the top bass amp manufacturers. I hope you all can take the time to check it out and let me know what you think of the site and feel free to let me know how I can improve it. Thanx!! I really appreciate it.

I would love to write some guest posts for this site. I have been playing the bass for 22 years, and have a little website about bass guitar tabs that I just started. Would love to be able to share some slap techniques on video for your viewers
Cool- I’ll drop you a line Wade!
